Hawks Reclaims the Lead as a Dacor Vent Hood Makes Its Debut
For one week in mid-October, the race at the top of the board stopped being a duel. From October 12 to October 19, Shaphan Hawks of ASAP Appliance Repair logged 30 repairs, 13 more than Alex C's 17, and led the platform. Last week the script ran the other way, with Alex C edging him 41 to 37. This week Hawks pulled clear.
Alex C of Integrity Services finished with 17 repairs and carries a 19-week streak. Hawks' streak stands at 31 weeks. Right beside Alex C is Nick Harko of Good Tech Appliance, who matched that 17 and has a 12-week streak of his own. On a good week, Harko is within reach of the top two, so the rivalry may be turning into a three-way contest.
The most intriguing arrival came from the margins. Dacor vent hoods first appeared on the platform on October 13, and Vasilii Kirillov of SET Appliance logged the one job this week. Kirillov finished with 11 repairs across 10 brand and appliance combinations, led by 3 GE dishwashers. He also logged 1 inspection as field scouting. His streak is 11 weeks.
The category shifts were loudest in laundry. GE washers doubled from 3 to 6 jobs and tied for the most active category. Whirlpool dryers also doubled, from 3 to 6. Samsung washers moved the other way, dropping from 8 jobs to 2. That 75% fall was the biggest decline on the board. GE refrigerators halved from 8 to 4. Samsung refrigerators tripled from 1 job to 3, and Samsung ranges returned with 2 jobs after none the week before. Ranges have been on the platform since December 2025, so this is a comeback.
Behind those numbers were the washer and dryer specialists. Harko took Whirlpool dryers with 3 repairs, while Danny Gutierrez and Hawks each had 1. Hawks led both GE washers and Maytag washers with 3 repairs each. Harko had 2 on GE, and Alex C had 2 on Maytag.
Gutierrez of Home Hire logged 6 repairs and has a 22-week streak. That is the second-longest on this list, behind only Hawks. Victor Acosta logged 4 repairs and has a 13-week streak, and Carlos Montano logged 5 repairs and has a 5-week streak.
So Hawks has opened a gap, and Alex C and Harko are level at 17 and ready to respond. Next week will show whether the Dacor vent hood is a one-off or the start of a trend.
