Horizon Overview, Inc. d/b/a Serenn ("we," "us," or "our") provides a work-based credential platform for tradespeople and field service teams. Serenn enables technicians to capture proof-of-work for jobs completed to create work-based credentials, which we use to power our machine-readable index to help customers find and hire our users (collectively, the "Service").
This Privacy Policy describes our privacy practices and how we handle personal information that we collect through and in connection with our Service, website at https://serenn.ai/ (the "Site"), and other websites where we host this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy does not apply to information we process on behalf of our business-to-business customers, which is governed by separate agreements.
Personal Information We Collect
Information you provide to us. The personal information we collect from you depends on how you interact with our Service, including whether you are a tradesperson, a company administrator, or a partner. Personal information you may provide to us through the Service or otherwise includes:
- Contact information, such as your first and last name, email address, and phone number.
- Demographic and profile information, such as your date of birth, profile photograph, trade association membership, and any information you choose to provide in your biography.
- Location information: When you register for the Service, we collect your current city and state.
- Payment information. We may collect payment information in connection with subscription fees or other transactions through the Service. Our third-party payment processor collects and processes your payment information in accordance with its own terms of service and privacy policy. We do not have direct access to your full payment card numbers.
- Job and work record information, such as job type, customer name, customer address, appliance make, model, and serial number, photographs of equipment and completed work, customer complaint descriptions, repair descriptions, and points earned.
- User-provided content, such as photographs, notes, information, and other content you provide or upload to the Service, including documents and other files and associated metadata.
- Communications that we retain when you contact us for support, submit inquiries, provide feedback, or otherwise communicate with us.
- Marketing data, such as your preferences for receiving our marketing communications, and details about your engagement with those communications.
- Other information that we may collect which is not specifically listed here, but which we will use in accordance with this Privacy Policy or as otherwise disclosed at the time of collection.
Automatic data collection. We and our service providers may automatically log and combine information about you, your computer or mobile device, and your interactions over time with the Service, online resources, and our communications, such as:
- Device data, including your computer’s or mobile device’s operating system type and version, manufacturer and model, browser type, screen resolution, device type (e.g., phone, tablet), IP address, unique identifiers, language settings, and general location information such as city, state, or geographic area.
- Precise location information: We may collect precise geolocation associated with each job you log on our Service using location information from metadata embedded in photographs you upload to the Service. This metadata may include GPS coordinates (e.g., latitude/longitude), device identifiers, and timestamps associated with the photograph.
- Usage data, including pages, screens, and features you viewed, accessed, or used, how long you spent on a page, screen, or feature, the website you visited before browsing to the Service, navigation paths between pages or screens, information about your activity on a page, screen, or feature, access times, duration of access, and whether you have opened or otherwise engaged with our communications, such as our marketing emails, or clicked links or files within them.
Third-party sources. In certain cases, we combine personal information we receive from you with personal information we obtain from other sources, including:
- Third parties, such as data providers and public databases. For example, we may obtain information from publicly available state business and licensing records to verify or supplement your profile information.
- Social sign-in and authentication platforms. Our Service may support login through third-party services such as Google, Apple, or Facebook. If you choose to log in through one of these services, we may receive information about you from that third party that you have made available via your privacy settings.
- Third-party integrations. If you choose to connect a third-party field service management platform with our Service, we will request your permission to access and import applicable data, including job records and customer information. We use this information to populate your work-based credentials and operate the Service in accordance with your preferences.
How We Use Personal Information
Provide our Service. We use your personal information to:
- Enable you to capture, organize, and display your work-based credentials and build your technician profile on the Service to third parties seeking qualified technicians for service requests;
- Personalize your experience within the Service, including through leaderboards, social feed features, and AI-powered recommendations;
- Communicate with you about the Service and your account, including by sending announcements, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages; and
- Provide support and respond to requests, questions, and feedback.
For research, development, benchmarking, and improving our Services. We may use personal information to analyze and improve the Services, identify trends, and operate and expand our business activities. We may also create aggregated, anonymized, or other de-identified statistics, which we may use for lawful business purposes, including for our own analytics, forecasting, and strategic planning and for licensing to third parties.
For marketing and advertising. We and our advertising partners may collect and use your personal information for marketing and advertising purposes, including:
- Email. We or our advertising partners may from time to time send you direct marketing emails as permitted by law, including, but not limited to, notifying you of special promotions, offers, and events via email. You may opt out of our marketing emails as described in the “Opt out of marketing communications” section below.
- Text message. We may send you text messages to invite you to the Service or notify you about special offers or opportunities. You may be liable for standard SMS and per-minute charges by your mobile carrier.
- Interest-based advertising. We engage our advertising partners, including third party advertising companies and social media companies, to display ads around the web. These companies may use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your interaction over time across our Services, our communications, and other online services, and use that information to serve online ads that they think will interest you. We may also share information about our users with these companies to facilitate interest-based advertising to those or similar users on other online platforms. For compliance and protection. We may use personal information to comply with legal obligations, including to enforce any applicable terms and conditions, defend against legal claims or disputes, protect the security and integrity of our Service, and identify and investigate fraudulent, harmful, unauthorized, unethical, or illegal activity.

We do not sell or share mobile or personal data with third parties, affiliates, or partners for marketing or promotional purposes. We only share data with third parties when it is strictly necessary to deliver our service and only under binding agreements that ensure confidentiality.
Under no circumstances will mobile data be shared or sold for advertising or promotional use.
Other Service Users. Certain information you provide, including your technician profile, work-based credentials, and photographs you take from jobs may be visible to other users of the Service or those browsing our Site. The specific information displayed will depend on your account settings and the features you use.
Service providers. Companies and individuals that provide services on our behalf or help us operate the Service or our business, such as authentication, cloud hosting, database management, file storage, AI model providers, product analytics, email delivery, webhook delivery, and related technology and infrastructure services.
Professional advisors. Professional advisors, such as lawyers, auditors, bankers, and insurers, where necessary in the course of the professional services that they render to us.
Authorities and others. Law enforcement, government authorities, and private parties, as we believe in good faith to be necessary or appropriate for the compliance and protection purposes described above.
Business transferees. Acquirers and other relevant participants in business transactions (or negotiations for such transactions) involving a corporate divestiture, merger, consolidation, acquisition, reorganization, sale or other disposition of all or any portion of the business or assets of, or equity interests in, our business (including, in connection with a bankruptcy or similar proceedings).
Privacy Choices
Access to account information. You may update, correct, or delete your account information by accessing the account you have established with us on the Services.
Opt-out of marketing communications. You can opt out of marketing-related emails by following the opt-out or unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of the emails you receive from us. If you do so, you will continue to receive service-related and other non-marketing emails for as long as you continue using our Service. Please note that we are not responsible for other users’ communications sent to you.
Privacy rights. You may have the right to submit requests about your personal information, depending on your location and the nature of your interactions with our Service:
- Access. Request that we provide the individual with information about our processing of the individual’s personal information and give the individual access to their personal information;
- Deletion. Request that we delete the personal information that we maintain about the individual; and
- Correction. Request that we update or correct inaccuracies in the individual’s personal information.

We reserve the right to confirm the identity of the individual making a request before we respond to the request and to assess whether these rights apply to you. Additionally, applicable law can limit these rights, for example, by prohibiting businesses from providing certain sensitive information in response to an access request and limiting the circumstances in which they must comply with a deletion request. If we decline a request, we will explain why we took that action, subject to legal restrictions.
Limits on your privacy rights and choices. In some instances, your choices may be limited, such as where fulfilling your request would impair the rights of others, our ability to provide a service you have requested, or our ability to comply with our legal obligations and enforce our legal rights. Opt out of online tracking. There are a number of ways to opt out of having your online activity and device data collected through our Services, which we have summarized below:

Security
We use reasonable organizational, technical, and administrative measures designed to protect against unauthorized access, misuse, loss, disclosure, alteration, and destruction of personal information we maintain. Unfortunately, data transmission over the Internet cannot be guaranteed as completely secure. Therefore, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of personal information.
Retention of Personal Information
We retain personal information for as long as we deem necessary for business, legal, operational, or security purposes. When you close your account, we may retain some or all of your information and user content for compliance, dispute resolution, analytics, and data product purposes. Aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information may be retained indefinitely.
