I live in Sausalito, near the Golden Gate Bridge. Whenever I walk the bridge, I stop by the credit plaque.

I think about the people who built it. The years they gave. The problems they solved. The pride they must have felt seeing what their hands helped make possible.

And I think about all the people whose names could never fit on that plaque.
