A Quiet Board, a Loud Lead: Hawks Rules a 63-Job Week

The week of October 19 to October 26 was a quiet one on the board, just 63 repairs in total. But a thin week can make the people at the top easier to see.

Shaphan Hawks of ASAP Appliance Repair led the platform with 22 repairs, more than a third of everything logged. He arrived with a 32-week streak and did nothing to endanger it. Close behind was Nick Harko of Good Tech Appliance, who logged 18 repairs, four fewer than Hawks, and carries a 13-week streak of his own. Together the two accounted for 40 of the week's 63 repairs.

The board was also missing a name. Alex C, who had 17 repairs the week before, did not appear in this week's repair log. With that absence, only six techs made the board, and the race for the top spot became a two-man affair.

Harko's week showed breadth more than raw volume. His 18 repairs spanned 15 different brand-and-appliance combinations. The most he did in any single one was 2, and that happened across GE fridges, GE dryers and Maytag dryers. He is a true generalist.

Elsewhere on the board, Victor Acosta of Tammy's Appliance Repair notched 9 repairs for third place. His 14-week streak is one week longer than Harko's 13. Vasilii Kirillov of SET Appliance put up 7 repairs, including 2 GE washers, enough to tie for the GE Washer lead. His streak stands at 12 weeks.

Washers carried the week. LG washers rose from 3 to 5 jobs (+67%), tying GE for the most active category, and Hawks took 3 of those 5 while Acosta and Harko had 1 each. GE washers slipped from 6 to 5 but still topped the board. Kirillov and Hawks tied for the lead with 2 each, and Harko added 1. Maytag washers logged 4 jobs, down from 6 the week before (-33%), but washers still dominated overall, with LG and GE at 5 each.

Dryers went the other way. Whirlpool dryers fell from 6 jobs to 1 (-83%), the steepest drop on the board. Samsung dryers went from 4 to 1, and Kenmore dryers from 4 to 2.

Ranges and a few odd appliances picked up some of the slack. GE ranges returned with 2 jobs after a zero week, though the category dates back to October 2025. Frigidaire ranges doubled from 1 to 2. And on October 20, Victory refrigerators appeared for the first time, with 1 repair, logged by Harko. It is a small entry in an unusual corner of the fridge market.

A 63-repair week is a quiet one, but Hawks and Harko kept the board moving. The question now is whether Alex C comes back next week to contest the top spot.
