Q1 2026:

Hector Ruiz Commands 152 Repairs While GE Washers Explode 471%

When the dust settled on Q1 2026, one name towered above the rest: Hector Ruiz. He dominated the quarter with 152 repairs across 20 categories, leading Samsung Refrigerators with 11 jobs, GE Washers with 9, and Whirlpool Washers with 9. His 167 total jobs set a new quarterly benchmark that will be hard to match.

But Ruiz wasn't alone at the top. Justin Nunn logged 188 field inspections this quarter—the platform's most comprehensive scouting effort—while completing 133 repairs across 19 categories, proving that field intelligence and volume aren't mutually exclusive. Meanwhile, Vasilii Kirillov of SET Appliance quietly built a 128-repair quarter with zero inspection overhead, leading GE Refrigerators with 15 jobs and mastering 20 categories with pure repair focus.

The quarter's most explosive story belonged to GE Washers, which jumped from 7 jobs in Q4 2025 to 40 this quarter—a staggering 471% surge that crowned it the platform's fourth-busiest category. Hector Ruiz captured 8 repairs in the red-hot segment, narrowly edging Vasilii Kirillov's 6, with Danny Gutierrez logging 4 and Shaphan Hawks adding 3 in the quarter's most competitive race.

Samsung Refrigerators remained the platform's busiest category overall, with Hector Ruiz securing the crown with 11 repairs. But Justin Nunn stayed close with 7 and Danny Gutierrez added 6 in a 53-job category that grew 179% quarter-over-quarter. In LG Washers, Nunn flipped the script entirely, leading with 9 repairs to Ruiz's 5 while logging 27 total LG Washer jobs—repairs plus inspections—in the 49-job category.

Specialists also made their mark. David Hair of David Hair Repair carved out a water heater niche with 4 Rheem repairs, making him the category's only specialist, and added 4 GE Range repairs while logging 22 inspections alongside 15 total repairs. Broader category shifts told their own story: Samsung Ranges surged 900% from 1 to 10 jobs, Kenmore Washers jumped 275%, and GE Ranges climbed 260%, signaling emerging demand in cooking appliances and value-brand laundry.

Not every category thrived. Sub-Zero Refrigerators declined 50%, dropping from 14 to 7 jobs in the quarter's biggest luxury retreat. Hector Ruiz, Danny Gutierrez, and Ulises Perez each logged 1 repair in the shrinking high-end segment.

Among company standouts, Danny Gutierrez of Home Hire Appliance Repair logged 114 repairs—97% of his 117 jobs—across 20 categories, the quarter's highest repair-to-total ratio among top performers. Ulises Perez of PROFIX delivered 53 pure repairs with 100% repair focus and a premium tilt: 5 KitchenAid Refrigerators, 2 Scotsman Ice Makers, and 1 Sub-Zero Refrigerator.

Q1 2026 delivered 738 repairs and 218 inspections across 999 total jobs, with GE and Samsung categories driving growth. As the calendar turns to Q2, Hector Ruiz will defend his multi-category lead against rising specialists like David Hair and volume scouts like Justin Nunn in what promises to be an even tighter race.
