Alex C Pulls Ahead, but Shaphan Hawks Still Owns the Long Game
For one week in early October, from October 5 to October 12, 2026, the platform's tightest rivalry finally broke open. Last week, Alex C and Shaphan Hawks sat in a dead heat at 19 repairs each. This week, Alex C pulled away with 41 repairs for Integrity Services, the most on the platform. Hawks, working for ASAP Appliance Repair, logged 37, so the margin is four repairs.
The scoreboard doesn't tell the whole story. Hawks extended his weekly streak to 30, the longest of the techs we checked, while Alex C's streak stands at 18. Hawks also won the head-to-head in specific categories. He led Maytag washers 3 to 1 and GE refrigerators 3 to 2, and Samsung washers ended 2 to 2. Alex C has the week, but Hawks has the staying power and the category edges.
The Washer Revival
The bigger shift this week was in the categories. Whirlpool washers jumped from 1 job to 5, up 400%. Maytag washers and dryers each rose from 1 to 4, up 300%. Samsung washers led all categories with 8 jobs, double the 4 from the week before. GE refrigerators matched that mark at 8, up 167% from 3.
Electrolux refrigerators went the other way. They dropped from 6 jobs to 3, a fall of 50%, which reverses last week's doubling.
The Chasing Pack
Behind the two leaders, a strong group is building. Victor Acosta of Tammy's Appliance Repair took third with 17 repairs across 15 brand-and-appliance combinations, and he is on a 12-week streak. Vasilii Kirillov of SET Appliance posted 14 repairs plus 2 installations, with a 10-week streak behind him. He is the only top-five name who also logged installs.
Danny Gutierrez of Home Hire Appliance Repair notched 8 repairs. His 21-week streak is the third-longest among the techs we checked, behind Hawks.
Old Names, New Life
Several niche categories resurfaced. Alliance washers returned with 3 jobs after a zero week. They have been on the platform since October 2025. Frigidaire ovens also came back with 3 jobs. GE refrigerator/freezers logged 3 jobs after a quiet week, and Hoshizaki ice makers logged 2. Both have been tracked since April 2026, so these are resurgences, not debuts.
Zoom out and the platform was almost all hands-on work, with 134 repairs, 2 installations and 2 maintenance jobs. No inspection scouting was logged.
What Comes Next
Alex C has the week, but Hawks has a 30-week streak and the head-to-head edges in several categories. Next week will show whether the washer surge keeps going.
