Shaphan Hawks Claims 20 Repairs While Commercial Equipment Debuts on Platform

For the first time in recent memory, Shaphan Hawks has seized the platform's weekly crown. During the week of March 30th through April 6th, 2026, Hawks logged 20 repairs—edging out Justin Nunn's 18 to claim the top spot in a week that saw both new leaders and new equipment categories emerge.

Hawks didn't just win on volume. He worked across 14 distinct categories, touching everything from GE Dryers (2 repairs) to single jobs on Kenmore Dishwashers and Samsung Refrigerators. His versatility proved decisive in a field where specialization often rules.

But the week's most intriguing performance came from third-place finisher Ulises Perez of PROFIX, who logged 17 repairs while quietly rewriting the platform's equipment roster. Perez completed the system's first-ever Wolf Commercial oven and Traulsen Commercial Refrigerator jobs on March 31st, signaling the arrival of commercial-grade equipment on a platform that has historically skewed residential.

Perez's commercial debut wasn't his only milestone. He claimed all 3 LG Refrigerator repairs this week, establishing himself as the platform's de facto specialist for the Korean brand's cooling systems. His workload also included 2 KitchenAid Microwave Oven repairs and high-end assignments on Sub-Zero, Fisher & Paykel, and EdgeStar Wine and Beverage Refrigerator units—the latter marking yet another equipment debut on March 30th.

Luxury wine storage made its own entrance when Hector Ruiz logged the platform's first-ever Thermador Wine Cooler repair on April 2nd. Ruiz finished the week with 8 repairs plus 1 maintenance job, working across 9 categories from Samsung Washers to Whirlpool Refrigerators.

Not every category trended upward. Whirlpool Washers plummeted from 12 jobs the previous week to just 4 this week—a 67% collapse after a recent surge. Marco Palacios of El Marco Appliance Service led the diminished category with 2 repairs, followed by Anthony Moya and Hector Ruiz with 1 each. Meanwhile, Samsung Washers moved in the opposite direction, tripling from 1 to 3 jobs—a 200% surge that positioned the Korean brand as a rising category.

Refrigerators and Washers tied as the week's most active appliance types, with Whirlpool, GE, KitchenAid, Samsung, and LG all logging 3 to 4 fridge repairs each. Justin Nunn led Whirlpool Refrigerators with 2 repairs, while Anthony Moya, Vasilii Kirillov, and Shaphan Hawks split the 4 GE Refrigerator jobs evenly.

With commercial equipment making its platform debut and weekly leaders shifting, the field is expanding in both equipment sophistication and competitive intensity. Whether Hawks can hold his newfound lead remains to be seen when next week's numbers arrive.
